There are many ways to work together, from targeted interventions to more comprehensive ongoing therapy. I see patients via tele-health and in some circumstances, in person. Below are general guidelines regarding what one can expect varying by depth and scope.
After an initial 15 minute consultation, the process begins with a 90-minute assessment. When the aim is symptom management, the frequency of appointments typically ranges from weekly or biweekly for the first several appointments, to every 2 to 3 months later in the course of treatment.
Initial follow-up appointments are often 50 minutes to address a blend of psychological, laboratory, and medication topics. Appointments where medication dose adjustments are happening in closer sequence such as when starting a new medication are usually 30 minutes.
For those looking to progress beyond symptom management to higher levels of well-being and fulfillment through psychotherapy, or whose challenges are more “psychologically” rooted rather than primarily “biological,” such as nutritional deficiency, the process tends to be most effective when meeting weekly or biweekly.
Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy begins with a 90-minute assessment followed by typically 2-3 preparation sessions, a dosing session, and then 2-3 more integration sessions over the course of 1-2 months. For those receiving low dose psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy in a more “psycholytic” frame, there is a slightly shorter preparation process and future sessions can occur in a manner and structure more similar to traditional psychotherapy.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy often yields rapid and potentially profound results within 1-3 sessions that usually last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours and typically requires only a 30-60 minute preparation appointment that can be done separately or with an ART session.
I see patients via telehealth and for certain types of appointments, in person in Connecticut.

Billing
I do not accept insurance and am out of network with all insurance providers. However, I can provide a superbill to submit to your insurer, some of whom may cover part of the cost. A credit card authorization prior to the first appointment is required. A credit card will be kept on file and billed on the day of each appointment or service rendered between appointments. ACH, Visa, American Express, Discover, and Mastercard are accepted.
Appointments missed with less than 24 hours notice will be billed the full rate of the scheduled session.
